From Munich Airport (MUC):
Take the S-train (rapid transit rail) lines S8 or S1 and change at "Marienplatz" to underground (U-Bahn) lines U6 (destination: "Fröttmaning" or "Garching-Forschungszentrum") or U3 (destination: "Olympia-Einkaufszentrum") in the direction to "Münchner Freiheit". Both lines will stop at "Universität".
From Munich Central railway station:
Take a S-train (rapid transit rail) in the direction of "Innenstadt / Ostbahnhof" and change at "Marienplatz" to underground (U-Bahn) lines U6 (destination: "Fröttmaning" or "Garching-Forschungszentrum") or U3 (destination: "Olympia-Einkaufszentrum") in the direction to "Münchner Freiheit". Both lines will stop at "Universität".
From underground station "Universität":
Take the stairs / escalators facing the opposite of the city center (northern exit) and leave the ticket machine gallery using the right stairs / escalators. You are now on "Ludwigstraße" and will see a huge triumph arch called "Siegestor" to your right. Take a 100 meters walk towards "Siegestor" and turn right into "Schackstraße". The second (greenish) building on the right hand side is "Schackstraße 4" and hosts several LMU Economy and Business departments. Our institute is located on the 3rd floor above ground level.
By car:
From the city center:
Take "Altstadtring" / "Oskar-von-Miller-Ring" - "Ludwigstraße". Turn right at "Siegestor" into "Schackstraße". The second (greenish) building on the right hand side is "Schackstraße 4" and hosts several LMU Economy and Business departments. Our institute is located on the 3rd floor above ground level.
From outside Munich:
Approach Munich from the North (motorway A9 or the circular "Mittlerer Ring") and follow the signs to "Föhringer Ring" - "Leopoldstraße" towards the city center. Turn left immediately behind "Siegestor" into "Schackstraße". The second (greenish) building on the right hand side is "Schackstraße 4" and hosts several LMU Economy and Business departments. Our institute is located on the 3rd floor above ground level.
